The actress was noticed by a talent agency who was impressed by her talents and convinced her to pursue an occupation in the entertainment field. After much deliberation her departure from the university and entered the industry of entertainment. After being disappointed by her performances in the film, she decided to make her debut with Children of the Corn V Fields of Terror. She was determined to perfect her acting skills and appeared in several low-budget films in order to prove her skills. Her patience and sheer willpower resulted in a successful outcome. Her acting career took off after she received not only praise but also appreciation for her part as a character in Training Day. Her most well-known movies include 2 Fast and Furious, Ghost Rider Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans and Holy Motors.
